Tue, 17 Jul 2007 18:54:00 +0000 http://www.ukmobilesonline.info/news-information/53/ Orange flat rate Internet deals http://www.ukmobilesonline.info/news-information/52/ The cost of using mobile data has historically been very high, usually being charged by the amount of data transferred. T-Mobile were the first to allow customers to pay a flat rate for Internet access via their mobile handsets for £7.50 per month. This was introduced on their Web 'n' Walk packages and has led the market for a while now over other operators. However, Orange are the next provider to offer lower Internet access rates on their handsets. According to Times Online, Orange will be launching some "cut-price data deals" later this week. On a contract, they report this as 'Internet 'snacks' - 30p for 15mins with daily cap of £1.50 or a 'bundle' priced at £1 per day or £5 monthly for evening/weekends or £8 monthly 'anytime' '. Pay as you go deals will also be available. This is certainly a step in the right direction and should hopefully encourage other networks to follow by reducing their Internet charges.
