Many mobile phone users pay high call charges when calling abroad, however, according to the Times Online, 3 have signed a deal with Skype (the Internet telephone company) to offer their service to customers for a monthly fee. The service makes use of 3G technology which has had a slow uptake by users, but offers high speed Internet access (although coverage has been quite patchy).
