Nice Phone BUT.....

As with many others I like the look of this phone, like the title says BUT. The phone isn`t as good as my sons J700 in fact it is pretty basic. The main niggle is the touch sensitive buttons, very often taking you back to the home screen when you are looking for a photo ( for example).or toggling to another picture. Like I said Nice Phone BUT

Not what i ordered!!

Ordered this phone and expected a plack phone baised on the photo as colour was not mentioned elsewhere in the product details. Well what turned up was a Pink/Red phone locked to Virgin mobile or i think it was T mobile!! ER didn't the title not say "SIM FREE". Hence i was not pleased when i could not use my O2 sim. Contacted the seller and i was offered £10 towards unlock costs. Ok fair enough but i think i would look silly with a pink phone...being that i am 6ft 2? Also if i had wanted a phone that needed unlocking i could have ordered something better that this. I have retured the phone and am waiting to see if i get my money back plus refund for postage. However it seems contact from the seller now seems a little less helpful since i have decided to return the phone. TO sum up: not what i ordered and has just been become a hastle!! steer clear.

Thank You

Thank you very much for this, I was very impressed by the porudct and the speed of postage. Thank you again

Fantastic phone

This phone is great, however for starters this is my first ever phone so I am not comparing this against anything, although I will try to write this accurately. I have had this for 4 months at the time of writing this review. The phones number pad is clearly backlit and the buttons are sensibly sized. The buttons on the main body of the phone when it is slid up are, as you may have realized, touch sensitive. Initially these buttons were hard to use however it very quickly grows on you. They are similar in style to the LG chocolate's touch sensitive buttons. The UI ( user interface) is easy to use and is the same as used on the E250 and D900 and probably many more. It uses 9 icons and then progresses into the common list format. One thing to note is whilst shortcut buttons can be personalized, the centre one cannot and this opens the browser. Since I am PAYG (pay as you go) I have probably lost a few pence worth of credit for accidentally pressing the button. Down the left hand side of the phone there are an up and down volume button for both the music player and the camera zoom. Down the right hand side is the headphone/ power adapter (where's a 3.5mm headphone jack oh well barely any phones have this), then there's the MP3 player (works regardless of whether phone is slide out or not) and camera (only activates when phone phone is slide out - lens would be obscured) shortcut buttons. Then there is the neat power button. A nice touch is at the top right corner of the phone there is a key chain hole although it is small probably to keep in with the phone's stylish look. The Camera is 2.0MP however of course camera phones are notoriously bad this is far from the worse and on the phones brightly light and colourful screen colours are accurately reproduced. Video is pretty much the same and has a good frame rate giving a smooth video. I think the zoom is about 2-3x no nothing special, however you can zoom during videos. The MP3 player is adequate and nothing special, and those 3 extra buttons are put to use for Mp3 use only (these are not lit otherwise which helps to keep the phone stylish. There is a micro SD card slot (check compatibility)for extra music that can be used as an MP3 ringtone. These are available from most places (about £5 for 1GB and £12 for 2GB on Amazon) Also copying from phone to SD card and vice-versa is easy to use. The phone is very small (smaller than D900 and E250) yet very stylish and as this was an important thing for me this essentially is one of the most stylish phones you can get and looks far more expensive than it is. Could you please rate this since a lot of time went into this review ty

Lots of faults with this phone

This was a good phone - when it worked! Here are the problems I found with this: 1) After a couple months use, the touch sensitive buttons would flicker all the time which would be the equivalent of me selecting them - so basically I'd be in the middle of writing a text, the button would flicker and it would send by accident. Even worse was when they stopped lighting up altogether and I couldn't make phone calls, send texts, etc. 2) When I switched off the phone and switched back on, then read a text (or select some menu options), the phone would vibrate non stop until I switched the phone off - very annoying 3) Everytime I sent a text, the phone would make a loud noise - there is an "Indicative Tone" option that I turned off (and turned on to try) but this noise still occurred. Other people I know with phone didn't have this tone so mine must've been faulty 4) When switching from silent mode, the phone made a loud noise which again I couldnt find a way to turn off 5) My phone is now unusable and unrepairable because the screen went white like some other people's I have noticed on here. So to sum up, it's the worst phone I have ever had and I have sent it off for repair twice in less than a year, which I have never had to do with previous phones!
